Preparations for a series of workshops on the role of local authorities in protecting children and enhancing their welfare is currently underway. The AGFUND has provided support for a forthcoming workshop to be conducted in Riyadh for Saudi cities in the coming few months.  Mayors and high ranking local authorities from all cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are expected to participate in this workshop.  Preparations for similar workshops to be held in different parts of the Arab region are also underway aiming to disseminate their benefits to all MENA cities.
