Prof. Osman Nour, CPI consultant, participated in the consultative meeting on Child Labor held at Sana'a Municipality on 17/6/2007. He presented the results of the joint CPI-UCW study on Child Labor in Sana'a; while Ms. Jamila Raja'a, National Program Manager for the International Program on the Elimination of Child Labor (IPEC) presented IPEC's efforts in addressing child labor in Sana'a through the Working Children Rehabilitation Center financing jointly by IPEC, CPI and Sana'a Municipality. Mr. Mohammed Al-Amri, Assistant Mayor, presented the Municipality's efforts and its search for sustainable solutions to the problem.

The meeting was attended by about 40 participants, representing concerned government departments and NGOs who expressed their views on the issue of Child Labor in Sana'a and made interesting observations and recommendations.
