In response to the invitation of the Executive Office of the Council of Ministers of GCC for Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Yassir Awad Elkarim, CPI Programs Officer, made a presentation in the workshop titled: "Problems of Orphans; community Participation in programs for their nurturing and integration in the community”, organized in Kuwait by the GCC Executive Office for Labor and Social Affairs Ministers and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Kuwait; during 4 -7 July 2004. The presentation made highlights on the CPI: its objectives, activities and future plans.

The workshop reached a package of recommendations that call for paying close attention to this category of children; encourage setting legislations and rules for their protection and also for encouraging researches and knowledge building in this field as well as some other significant recommendations. The program included field visits.

He also visited the premises of the Kuwaiti Society for Arab Childhood Development and the headquarters of the Arab Towns Organization where he presented an explanation on the CPI and its future activities.
